I have Motorbatt AGM batteries on 3 of my bikes and don’t bother to remove them when charging, I have charging leads on them so it’s just a couple of seconds to connect, I tend to check them every couple of months but because I use the bikes every weekend (apart from when there’s a ton of salt on the roads!) they never particularly need a charge, on my 4th bike I have a , wait for it LITHIUM, I have a L specific charger for this , I guess the reason Ducati recommend removing the Yuasa is because it’s lead acid and they release acidic fumes when charging?
yip, classic low voltage error. you get the weirdest errors flagging up with CAN systems when the battery voltage is low. on cars you normally get spurious ABS and Air Bag errors (that dont actually exist) first when the voltage drops on start up.
Old post but exactly the issue I discovered earlier today. At least it looks like removing the fairing and battery are easy (or so you say), need to dismantle half the MV to get to the battery.
