I meant to find this thread last week, I’m going to try changing mine also this winter (if I keep the bike…) but I did use my bike on the middle engine brake setting and found it better on the road for downshifts, where my tyre is squaring off though I suspect it’s making things worse.
I've used the same engine brake setting for the last 4 track days. On track it's loads better and it did help a bit. Forgot about that till you said it.
