Does anyone know if the selector shaft on the Pantah is the same as any other of the air cooled twins. Mine has a broken spring and ideally i would replace it with a Pantah one but not easy so would be good to know if it’s identical to any other model.
Check your part numbers best bet. 600ss or Monster? There are a few on here who remember older bikes, not many though.
The gear selector parts changed with the introduction of the Paso 906 and all the subsequent bikes with the redesigned crankcases. Only the return spring remained unchanged.
Thanks to Derek I’ve managed to order a replacement control arm spring from Ducati Classics. Now I’ve got to address the problem of removing the stator gear to remove the selector. Problem is locking it. I’m going to try using a socket impact gun, stick it in gear and get someone hefty to sit on the bike. There’s probably a Ducati locking tool.
