Without boring every one...you were nearly right. The county was abolished in 1996 with its boroughs becoming unitory authorities and the Tees re-established as the border between North Yorkshire and County Durham for ceremonial purposes only. For everything else including postal addresses Cleveland is still used.
As above we are a unitary authority, but in the mainstream still classed as Cleveland the same as the others. Either way whatever county it makes no difference to Stockton being 4 miles from the smoggies in Boro and the Mackems being 27 miles away, I'm not particularly keen on either of em.:wink: I wonder where the Cleveland Hills are these days? :biggrin:
Seeing as about 80% of the universe (or whatever the figure is) is supposed to be "dark energy" - nothing surprises me. No one knows what dark energy is, just that it's supposed to be there. It's quite interesting when most of the universe is invisible and unknowable.
