I took delivery of this on Friday...finally ticking the long time wanting box

 

Finally finished, minus mirrors.

 

Are those two holes in the front lights for a day time MOT?

Two small LED DRL. Very bright and slightly pitched down as not to dazzle. They are attached on a carbon quick release removable plate on the inside of nose. Not MOT legal to have these on, even for daytime VT32 MOT, so remove them. VOSA, MOT and Law won't allow DRL to be plugged into your OEM loom as they are then regarded as your lights. Can get round by running straight from battery though. But they go back on after the MOT anyway.

 

748SPS, but with slab type fairings, still got all original parts

You would benefit from some P4 calipers perhaps?

 

You are right & I would, have considered P4 calipers...but need to start saving again. Also needs a good service, started it today and puff of white smoke coming from right air vent and killed itself with a mighty crack sound! Started OK afterwards, although idle runs a bit low until upto temperature after 10 mins....Going to be a BIG service this one

I do want a pair of those forks for my 748, anyone know which models they came on.

 

I’m not too sure what else they came on other than the MY00 748R. Maybe the SP/SPS?

If I find a decent set of Ohlins, I’ll stick these up for sale
