1198 Plastic Tank Worries

  4. 97 octane at my local Esso stations both now have E5 markings on the pumps.
     
  5. E5 means up to 5% ethanol, but can still be zero.

    Esso website still says ‘Esso super unleaded petrol (Synergy Supreme+ Unleaded 97) is ethanol free (except in Devon, Cornwall, the Teesside area and Scotland). We would therefore advise anyone who has concerns about the presence of ethanol in petrol to use Synergy Supreme+ – providing they do not fill up in Devon or Cornwall, the Teesside area or Scotland.’.

  6. Can Anyone tell me the paint code for the red on my 1198S tank?, and whats the best way to refurb a scuffed anodised black alloy tank filler cap.
