At last my street is being fixed. And done properly, not just patched. Gangs of workmen have relaid all the kerbs and gutters, resurfaced the pavements, cold-planed the entire roadway, and are today re-tarmacking the whole thing. They appear to be making an excellent job of it. The plan to do this explains why they have been reluctant to do any temporary repairs recently.
Some service company will be along shortly to cut it up, make a nice hole and then do a useless job of patching it!
