It’s beautiful but without question the F4 Tamburini holds that title. It is not possible to make a better looking bike.
For me Symon, the original F4 750 S was the best looking (better than the gold splashed Oro) and they never looked this good again (The Ago comes close)
6'0", 77 kgs here. I read all about the reviews on 916 comfort being similar to "a torture rack" and the seat so hard "it's like straddling a park bench". Sure the original seats are firm, but I found riding a 916 on an extended ride for the first time was fine- I think out-of-shape journos gave it a rep that is probably untrue. The fact that you can lope it around town, and have the only inconvenience be heated calves & butt speaks volumes as to how well the ergos were designed. Tamburini was a rider, let's not forget.... he rode several 916 prototypes until he was satisfied and production could begin. If you find sport bikes uncomfortable, get fit.... don't blame the bike.
interesting stuff. its been an on/relationship with my 848 since i bought it. i start the season wanting to sell it and by the end of the season, and not tempting fate, i want it buried with me. and i dont really use it that much. 7k in 6years. the fugly is just so damn easy to ride. btw. the 749 in yellow and 999 is the best looker of all. always has been. probably always will be.
996 better looking than 916 due to 5 spoke wheels. 996 better looking than 998 as it doesn't have the ugly slab side fairing. IMO
this is the pic that got me into ducati. it came on a birthday card when she noticed i was looking for something other than a commuter. v,nice.
