Stock GSXR headstock bearings are 30x55x17, can you not swap the cups in the headstock for gsxr ones so you use the same bearings, the should just knock out with a drift...
I'll have a look when I have knocked out the Cups from the NC30 Frame. I don't have the GSXR frame to have a gander.

I have had a look... Atilla has it sorted out. I can fit normal GSXR cups to the headstock and just use a spacer on the stem. Im a moron.
Aye that's projects for you , nowt fits and the jobs that you thought would be simple involve a trip to a machine shop and a fortnights wait .
Anyone got any tips on removing a long thin roller bearing from a swing arm? I had normal round type on one side that were knocked out with a socket. The remaining side is too thin to seat a socket on top. It's slightly thinner than the bed that it is seated on. The bastard.

They're all to big to get between the lip and the bearing. I'm getting the baby to sleep and them I'm off to have another try.
I got the gsxr front end half fitted today with the bearings suggested earlier. Just need a small space making now

Do you think it would be ok to use a different bearing in the VFR wheel so it works with the GSXR spindle? There is a slim line ball bearing available that would fit the bearing seat and allow the spindle through but it's 9 mm width instead of 12mm. Reckon it'd be up to the task any way?
Don't think I'd risk it to be honest. Sure you can't get one full width? You're having lots of bearing issues - I have it all to come! 2 x 6mm wide ones? :Happy:
I could spend £250 plus on ebay prices for a gsxr front wheel and discs or I can pay £40 for some bearings and keep the NC30 Wheel and discs. The bearing issues come from mixing manufacturers. GSXR yoke stem is 30mm diameter. NC30 is 25mm. NC30 Wheel bearing seat is 42mm outside and spindle is 20mm GSXR spindle is 25mm and bearing seat is 52mm
So if my brain is working you need 20 x 52 x 12? There are two on here - not sure if the first one is sealed a sit doesn't state, the second one is open. SKF BB1447205A Deep Groove Ball Bearing 0.78x2.04x047 inch Simply Bearings Ltd If they do open ones you would think someone does sealed.
