  2. " When you're right , you're right "

That is a fact now .
A fact that we didn't have earlier , but it still doesn't indicate that forum staff had any intent to foist this Quantcast crap on us , or to knowingly change their overall ad policy in any significant way ..... but it's clearly been a major boo-boo .

@Rob stated that a compliance change had been made to come into line with advertising requirements ..... and that's it , nothing more as far as I can see

I reckon that this has inadvertently opened a door a little too wide , and that a sneaky entity has gate-crashed , and presented us all with a pop-up
that already has pre-ticked permissions to hoover-up a ton of personal info .

..... just my two khoums worth ..... :)

I'm still on it ..... the culprit is in my sights but I won't name them till I have evidence ......:innocent:

  4. In which case this is really bad form. Have you looked at what they snoop on Rob? Like other parts of your data, not website related etc etc?! Probably not a provider of choice, guess its rolled into your website provider, but its even worse than facebook!!!

  5. Nah no pop up pre ticked, the ad agency must use this Quantast company to serve more ads from their networks when you say yes. Must admit this is the first time I've ever heard of Quantcast. It was recommended to open up new advertisers.

To be honest the site looks quite bad with all the adverts so I will explore other options.

Cheers for all the feedback, learning about what works with your feedback.

  6. My biggest worry is that it will identify me to Norton as having money and I might be asked to buy shares and a bike that might not be ready by 2023

  8. Just opened the Ducati Forum on my Android tablet and the GDPR pop up appeared. I subscribe so will I always get this pop up until I log on Rob?

  10. I don't on my iPhone but after an hour or so although it looks like I'm still logged in if I try and reply to a post or click recent posts I find I'm logged out and have to sign in again! Doesn't bother me mind.

  11. Try ticking the ‘stay logged in’ option.

  17. I don’t, too lazy, but it was still popping up each morning. The Quantcast thing that is:)
Maybe you’re just doing everything through the ‘private window’ you use for porn:D; no cookies, no tracking, no history, no trace:upyeah:

  18. Do you think you could tell me how to set that up please Paul as the closest I’ve come to online secrecy is using my wife’s I pad and not mine lol

  19. Do you use a Mac? And Safari?

  20. If you are concerned about ads on the site , I'd be having a close look at OddsMonkey if I were you .
It can be a bit of an internet hooligan ...... and once it's got it's foot in the door ......
