V4 R In Race Trim

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Cream_Revenge, Oct 14, 2018.

  1. It's not got the shitty cheap plastic at the front of the tank or the shitty plastic that joins fairing to tank that makes it look like a SS.

  2. Not sure that will meet noise regulations now.

  3. Yeah - I know. Just noting the return to dry from recent bikes/models.

  4. I’m sure you are right but the Moto Rapido Panigale runs a wet clutch. I know that because it was being disassembled when I visited the garage this morning. Andy

  5. Still looks like a firebland.

  9. Just chuck a bucket of RED at it :upyeah:

  10. (Mozart) See if you can name three of them? That’s right, you can’t!

  11. :) You got the reference. :upyeah: Even though it was Beethoven and we're both wrong.

  12. Dammit!
Still one of the best movies of the modern age IMO. I never tire of watching it!

  13. Speculation from today on the V4R making 300bhp - maybe on a Dyno somewhere in Coventry  that’s 40-50 more than a GP18 :bucktooth: ....

“Hey hey! Next year's race bike.
This thing is just nuts. BSB are already talking about neutering it. It's designed to rev to more than 17,000 and with the GP17 cam, it could go to 20,000 and STILL produce power (300bhp??)! So it looks like BSB rules will be changed to keep rev limits at the production limit”.

  14. So I have had several sherbets, a glass of fizzie and shared a bottle of wine so will take the bait. I do hope your post is tongue in cheek because it is an absolute and utter load of bollocks. The soon to be officially launched Panigale V4R will homologate the engine and aspects of the chassis for World Superbike racing not a national series like the BSB which tend to have more strict regulations. With the demise of the Superstock 1000 series, national series will be running bikes that are closer to what the (minted) man on the street can buy from his local dealer not some pie in the sky speculation. Andy

  15. The post was from someone in the paddock/garage and was shared on FB tonight with lots of pictures - I copied and pasted the relevant bit re BHP as it was funny :)

  16. Ah, hillarious. Andy

  17. Looks amazing; like a proper moto 2 GP bike. It'll be interesting to see how close the production version is!
