I've seen black and white shots of events on beaches, and the scene from the brilliant The World's Fastest Indian. But in these days of environmental, noise, safety etc etc regs and lobby groups, brilliant to see this really happening (anything similar in UK?): http://amcn.com.au/editorial/histor...ljGeGcggIESRglDnOyI9HuVOJfBeDhb_M0YBxFiwP5sdM
my local beach back in nz is 26 miles long and classed as a public highway.. although there wasn't any sanctioned events (to my knowledge) it provided hours or crazy shit... i miss that stuff...
Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire... every other weekend in the winter. A grand morning out with a brew and a bacon sandwich. Plenty of folk to have a yarn with and machinery from the sublime to the ridiculous being raced on the beach. You'll find everyone there from grandads to GP racers, usually Neil Tuxworth is on hand, and you might find Boastie or Guy Martin having a morning out... or some 50 something speedway rider you never heard of will blow your mind with his grace and pace. Get there, it's mega!
Weymouth once a year but take your goggles if wind is in the wrong direction - plenty of up close viewing
