  3. oh dear..

  4. Dam, I've wanted a Brough for a while and just missed one...

  5. it's that time again - it's rapidly becoming a good time to buy* but a terrible time to sell.

    * i am talking pleb-mobiles of course, the higher bracket stuff is virtually always impervious to these fluctuations.

  6. I've seen a few Nc30's on FB for less than the typical (farcical) prices lately. They're not being given away but they are reasonable at £4K +/-. None at £9k plus at all, where last year that wasn't unusual.

I'm all for the bikes being sensible prices and if investors don't like it, they can always sell up!

  7. Slightly cryptic, but on my cycle rides i've seen some secondhand car dealers almost bursting at the seams of late. People think they know what the future holds and can come unstuck badly at times.

  8. Agreed. I have nothing against people gambling, but sometimes you win and sometimes you don't...

  9. Pity that ‘price drop’ hasn’t happened with Yamaha 250/RD350LC, they are at crazy money still. Which is unfortunate as my Son would like a 250 after he’s passed his A2 test.

  10. Agreed. The LC & RD 250/ 350 bikes are great fun. That said they are together with KR1S, Suzuki RG500 & RGV250s are all held as super desirable and I doubt they will fall significantly anytime soon. LC350's for example I don't expect to fall below £5K - less than now maybe but...

  13. I found that entertaining but I’m not quite sure I’d want to see the inside of the brain of the choreographer :joy: Andy

  15. I’ve watched quite a few of these wingsuiters, I just haven’t the minerals but a mate moved to Chamonix to live that kind of rush.

Have you ever seen the clip of the base jumper slamming into a dam as he’d packed his chute wrong or some such, horrific.

  16. It is a sport that interests me, but so many people have died doing it. The pioneers that developed the suits over the years have died off one by one...starting in 1912!!!

  17. My friend explained it thus, the more jumps you do {skydiving} the thrill goes for some so they take more risks to keep the kick alive gradually working there further down the Rabbit hole of risk.

Skydiving, BASE jumping then wingsuits, it's a numbers game and hopefully your number doesn't come up.

I had a dabble at Paragliding which is possibly the most thrilling experience i've ever had, the rush of taking off will stay with me until I die, Perhaps that is what all risk takers want is that first sensation again and again and again........
