Collected a lovely low mileage Cafe Racer earlier in the week. A while after unloading at home, I noticed the rear brake lever at a jaunty angle the lug holding the switch and that also acts as the stop for the pedal was snapped After a bit of head scratching about alternative ideas, set to to make it better than the poor original design that means if the brake pedal is accidently knocked upwards the above is the result! Job completed earlier and will prove far stronger than cast aluminium A friend has a 19 plate Cafe Racer and a quick inspection showed that lo and behold Ducati have modified the designthe switch holder and pedal stop are now mounted on a steel bracket screwed into the top of the casting! I guess all the earlier Scramblers have the same (in my mind) poor design so if you have one, be careful not to knock the brake pedal!! You're welcome to copy my fix though!
