Rear Brake Switch

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by yets, Mar 29, 2012.

  1. Right, who's the idiot at Ducati who positioned the switch in the most inaccesible place ever on the '92 carbie? Why did they think it be suitable to place it where, you know, a swing arm is in the way?:mad:

Anyway, I was hoping to remove mine and have a look at it because the rear brake isn't working when pressed but the front lever is working fine. I've checked the wire and there appears to be a current going through after it's grounded. Ebay isn't flush with replacements, anyone know of a decent supplier? Or an interchangeable one from another bike?

  2. Oh do they have rear brakes then
I never used mine I guess they put it there as it would be no use :)

  3. Howdo!

You could use a pressure switch, available from HEL, Goodridge.

  6. My switch isn't the one that goes into the cylinder but the one that is hidden behind the footrest peg (impossible top access and unscrew) [IMG] (part 19). Does anyone know the thread size?

  7. Howdo!

Just replace part No.21 for a pressure switch and your good to go.
