I had my bike picked-up last night for transport to Heathrow today and then onto Bangkok in a few weeks. This morning I got a call from the van man to tell me that my rear shock had shat it’s oil onto the floor overnight :-( Very strange thing to happen as the bike was strapped down without pressurising the shock :-/ Anyway, I got van man to drop the bike at Riders of Bristol and they have ordered a new shock for me under warranty. Fingers crossed it gets sorted in time for freight out to Bangkok w/c 23rd of this month.
Lost a bit of faith in it to be honest so I’ve bought this as an insurance policy. Should be delivered in a week or so. If I have time I’ll try to get it fitted before the bike gets shipped to Bangkok.
Yes. All Touratech suspension is rebadged Tractive stuff, I believe. I had Tractive kit on my 850GS and have it on my Urban GS. It’s excellent. Durable too - especially if serviced regularly Dave
