1200 DVT Rear Shock

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Steve71, Sep 27, 2021.

  1. Fitted a new rear shock all went well surprisingly reconnected the battery shock recalibrated as it does the bike now sits 30mm higher measuring from the spindle to the grab rail than it did before ? Checked everything I can think off any ideas ?

  2. Has it reset to Enduro ? Andy

  3. Reset past enduro lol it’s like that is now urban and it goes from there !

  4. Check the ride height sensor lever (hidden behind rear brake fluid reservoir).
Ensure its in the correct measuring position as it may throw out the correct sensing position for the swing arm, especially if you connected the new shock to the loom before locking the shock in place & switching ignition on.

  5. I’m guessing that’s what has happened do we know how to set that ? Or is that dealer hook up to a computer setting ..

  6. I would hazard a guess that a dealer reset is required. Shouldn’t take long. Probably an hours labour charge.

  7. Was it a used rear shock? Was it from the same year?
    Shocks maybe different lengths?

  8. Used shock same length when measured ..
