I never had any success with a water hose, as it rarely gets to the nest plus it soaks your foundations! I stood there on and off for two days with a VAX in one hand and badminton racket in the other once, got around 450 wasps before the Queen called it a day and my left shoulder never recovered
It took a couple of days of hosing from a window - quickly opened and slammed shut- to wash out my Colorado wasp barstardos, but I got there with shoulders intact.
Those interloping long leg spiders that seem to be everywhere in this long hot summer. They live in my garage and shit on everything beneath them, tools bicycles, everything including the multi. The little bastards just sit there in their shit built webs and show utter contempt, they don't run and hide like a regular spider when you approach , no they wobble and spin as if they're trying to entrance you in to their sticky spider world! I've recently learned they don't life fire, which reminds me I must look at the house insurance policy!

Collection of my new Multistrada has now been put off until early September, they couldn't get it ready for Thursday and I wouldn't be able to make it up there until later in the month. So decided to wait another week and make it a 68. reg instead. 'Every cloud...' and all that. Will also give me time to get my wheelie bins lined up
