  4. Beyond Biocentrism, currently only available in hardback or as a download I think, recaps and developes the ideas contained in Biocentrism and is on my "to read" list.

  5. i do not believe as much as most on religion, or gods. or spirits.

    however religion IS real.

religion was created (in all forms) to give the poor/slaves somthing to hope for, somthing to live by.
it was a way of incorporating laws that the 'people' would follow no questions.

religion was created making it false. however it exists in many minds so it is true , are you following?

religion is a comfort, a go to place for the lonely, the sad, the poor.

    gods and beliefs -
does god exists, not in real terms no, but yes god exists. he exists because god is in our minds, people believe so god is there. even if its just a back of the mind thing. he/she is there. god is a feeling. an emotion.

do emotions exist? well kinda not. but theyre there.

anyone who believes in a religion/god/belief simply needed more in life to be happy. anyone without feels they have or can get what they want without help.

yes there will be extreams where they give thier life to a religion. but the fact alone people use religion for good or bad means its there.

    is reincarnation true or false?

scientifically it is true. atoms do not just become/appear.
the atoms in you and me may of been part of a rock/tiger/tree once before. atoms are always returned and reused.

is it true on the side of a god or religion doing it? no its just a nice thought for somone who lost somone to know theyre not completely alone. and if somone believes in it then its a little true. as without that, no hope. without hope is a bad area to be in.

is this overspoken about? yes. if you believe, believe, if you do not, do not,

and dont mock for people who do, and vice versa.

  6. Well I saw a cat making boxing moves as it watched two boxers on tv yesterday. Obviously reincarnation exists, that's proof, if proof be needed !

  7. Good point. What does "exist" mean? Harry Potter exists as words on the pages of books, images on screens, thoughts in peoples' heads, and ideas in JK Rowling's mind. But does Harry Potter exist in the real world? No, he exists all right, but only as a fictional character. Gods "exist" in the same sense as Harry Potter; they are fictions which have been invented by someone for some purpose, so they exist in minds and on paper but not in the real world. They "exist" as beliefs, so in that sense you could say that gods exist so long as somebody believes in them.

  9. Cogito ergo sum

  10. I just spat my coffee out.....
I was scrolling down this and thought Chiz said it.

  11. Have just started reading about it. Utter nonsense. He's just describing The Matrix. To quote: 'Professor Lanza says biocentrism explains that the universe only exists because of an individual’s consciousness of it – essentially life and biology are central to reality, which in turn creates the universe; the universe itself does not create life. The same applies to the concepts of space and time, which Professor Lanza describes as “simply tools of the mind”.'

So, nothing exists except in our minds and no one dies. Think of all those poor buggers who've been buried alive for the thousands of years...although explains Egyptian mummies coming to life in horror movies ;)

Sounds to me like a quantum fella who thinks they he needs yet more funding so has created his own thing. Science; the new religion. :upyeah:

  12. I wouldn't be quite so quick to dismiss it and it is a very different concept to The Matrix.

What would someone from the middle ages have said to the idea of the big bang where nothing existed before and all the energy / matter in the universe spontaneously came into being from nothing. They assumed it was created by God.

Is it so mindbogglingly different to think that it was consciousness and not energy / matter that appeared from nowhere. Also space and time is not as we perceive it where we are born and sometime later we die linearly moving through spacetime in one "direction" due to the laws of entropy, yet quantum effects would appear to break the laws of physics as we understand them so maybe our understanding is wrong ? Maybe we are incapable of understanding our universe because it exists only in our consciousness ?

  13. John, the universe cannot be created from conscious thought. I think the particle stuff is really interesting and certainly it may explain some of the reincarnation experiences.

But it's one step away from David Ike and reptilian invaders from mars!

  14. I still haven't read the book so I can't really comment. However I can say we perceive the universe through our consciousness and who is to say that what we perceive the universe to be is correct ? To take the Martin Reese analogy, what does, or even can, an ant on the Empire State Building know of the Empire State Building ?

I did read the Truth Vibrations some years ago and can safely say that David Ike is barking.

  15. i agree with you bradders,

    but what he is saying.

is what is so different to our universe starting from conscious thought or a god

compared to everything just magicly appearing with no scientific reason

  16. Anything written on life the universe and everything that talks about "vibrations" is usually barking.
