Hi guys, new on here, so sorry if this has been asked a 100 times before, I've recently bought a 2010 hypermotard 796. It's only come with a single key. Is it supposed to have a red master key? And how do I go about getting a replacement key.
You should contact Ducati and suggest they put this sort of information in writing. They could call it a handbook and put the information on pages 37 thru 41. Just a suggestion. https://www.manuals.co.uk/ducati/hypermotard-796-2010/manual?p=38
So it would appear there was no red key originally, just too Black Keys. So I'm guessing a good locksmith should be able to clone this key
So, no Code Card? There are better solutions to cloning. Cloning will not give you the 5 digit Bypass/Programming code that is on the Code Card. Read my posts on this forum about how the bypass code can be calculated from the key transponder code.
