Had to splice a wire into the rectifier ( the connectors melting, common fault ?) wire that runs down left side of frame & took bike out for a quick 50 mile shakedown, your right about rear shock..but I really like the bike in real world country lane/shit surface world even managed to hang on the back of some reasonable spirited ridden sportsbikes today....would love a 998s deep sump , for the odd blast though
