  2. :biggrin: Pace does not bother me, I have done my more than fair share of UK and European track days as well as leading out 125 and learner riders. A MotoGP pace does not interest me any more though, that is true.

    Having said that, my "rant" is more about my perceived lack of ride outs now. Yes I would like to meet up with a few folk, but it is not the be all and end all of riding. Just sad that people now prefer to ride in small teams, it is of course each persons choice though.

    It is also interesting to see people's views on large groups; petrol stops have never been an issue, they just need planning. People pay for their own food and no-one has ever stopped to take photographs until we reach the destination.

    The beauty of the 2nd man drop off system also means people can ride at their own pace, knowing that the corners are marked. This also means people rotate with the riders in front of them. There have been moments when corners have failed to be marked, but not enough make it worthless.

    The only issue I ever had was getting people to leave as a group from the start. That was solvable by naming a departure time and leaving at that time, with or without people!

    I will continue to ride solo with one eye on the events section, just in case something should ever happen.
