He always came across as the man in charge, ie my way or p45. Can't do that with shareholders to please
He was a great F1 leader but that was unfortunately a few years back. RD should have retired gracefully and left F1 alone. The atmosphere and structure has been wrong and maybe now they can start to make the necessary changes to succeed. They could do with getting Paddy Lowe back but he's in a good place so no chance.
A mate of mine worked on the production line for a while and said it was super strict. Warnings for spanners being left out of place and then sackings if they didn't improve apparently. I dont know much about them but I've always been impressed with Mclaren in general.
