I remember standing in the crew room during an interval and Ron asked how I was getting on. To which I replied that my braking for the corners was too cautious. His advice was to apply light pressure to get the tyre in good contact with the black stuff, then apply firm pressure to get it really bedded in and finally, because the bikes had ABS, to squeeze it as hard as possible. Having thrown two of their bikes down the road in previous years I forwent stage 3
I'm truly gutted, I had a track experience booked,but was cancelled because of this C-19. First I heard that Ron was closing was on MotoGP, I had to rewind and relisten to it. I've chased up a couple of times to see if I can get in before they close the doors,but still in the dark.
