£5.5k brand new with long warranty I have had a Bullet 500 for a few years and love it, but dare not test ride the new 650 as I know I will want one
They are selling like hot cakes in India, I've spoken with several owners who highly rate them. No issues with reliability either. I prefer the Interceptor to the Continental GT.
According to Eicher's Annual Report, in the year 2018-19 Royal Enfield sold 822,724 motorcycles worldwide. Just for perspective, that's about twice as many bikes as Triumph, Norton, BMW, Ducati, Aprilia, MotoGuzzi, and MV Agusta make combined. UK sales represent a small fraction of 1% of that figure.
Something very likeable about this brand. They maintain their links with Redditch near me & I keep hearing talk about an actual return to the town in some capacity. The Royal Enfield pub is now a spoons but hopefully that won’t put them off
Fit a tail tidy bar end mirrors & some shorter straight through mufflers & job done..thats if you want a café racer that's probably the slowest on the planet...but I have to say real good value for money...hence the big sales figures
In the UK market in 2019 January to September (3 quarters), Royal Enfield sold 2,492 bikes. For comparison the top six are: Honda 17,595 Yamaha 9,119 BMW 7,967 Triumph 6,999 Kawasaki 6,188 KTM 5,341
I’ve got 3 mates that have bought them, they are all really happy with them, I like the looks and you can’t argue with the price, my bosses husband (Simon Warburton)had a lot to do with the design and has spent the last few years travelling between the UK facility and India, wish I had his air miles!, hard to fault but not quite enough power for me personally, very smooth for a twin, I prefer the looks to the Hinckley bonneville which looks a bit bulbous to my eyes, that said I rode a new speed twin a few weeks ago and really liked it, now that bike does not lack power!
