Trowell sounds mint (weather dependent) what time at Trowell - They leave Donnington services at 10.35?
I've done it for years from Heathrow (except 2015... for some reason!). Sadly Ducati are very rare on this run..... DIDn't see one other Italian bike! I've tried to get this lot to come (last five years), but NO one responded positively, so I went with a load of Harleys at about 50mph... via the motorway.... very very boring.
I'm not back in the UK till the weekend so will pay on the day, if you're travelling from Derby on the A38 we could meet up at the lay by just before the bridge on A38 J28 M1? Say 10am should give us plenty of time to get to Donnington services?

Went for the first time this July on way home from Angelsey. A few bikes in car park, which is free for bikes. Although no designated bike park area that I could see. Was impressed with how it was all laid out.
