V4 Rusty Pipes

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Sawnoff78, Jan 18, 2020.

  1. 50ADD6ED-4657-413C-96B6-2B0E91AAF140.jpeg I bought a brand new V4S Corse in October and have only done 200 miles on it. Last time out was on damp roads and the bike got a bit shitty but I cleaned and dried it thoroughly as soon as I got back - I even put a radiator on in the garage to make sure it was dry :D

I’ve just noticed this pipe and it’s rusted already! Is this the norm with Ducati stuff these days? I reckon a trip to the dealer is in order.

  5. Me and you obviously don’t watch the same kind of porn lol.
That’s surely not acceptable to have corrosion like that already...
and the oxygen sensor has surface corrosion on it. I wouldn’t be happy with that

  6. Yeah it’s a poor show really, I’ve ridden it 3 times and it’s been garaged in between rides. It’s a new build too so the garage is dry as a bone.

    I’ll be emailing my dealer...

  7. I would mate, that’s the sort of thing I would expect of a cheap item and definitely not a bike like that. piss poor really

  8. Just sent an email :upyeah:

If it was a Suzuki I’d understand but not a £26k Ducati

  9. Neither of my two Suzuki's are that rusty and one is 21 years old and the other 12.

  12. Once it’s sorted I’d suggest a coat of a acf 50.

  13. Pretty normal with exhausts when they go hot and cold/wet.

To keep pipes looking mint takes a bit of work tbh
