Looks like I underpriced my old 916 “SPS copy” (SPS heads, barrels, P8, twin injectors on 996cases done by JHP) when I sold it for £5.5k !
I got one for the same reasons as the OP. I have 1098 radial forks on mine - Ohlins But I also have a the MTS1200 1198 engine in it.....thanks to Nelson (off this forum) That sidestand - is it a 996? Looks suspiciously like mine, which is the one off the multistrada 1200 and actually works like...well, a sidestand. Unlike the 916, 996 etc. Could this be one of Nelson's offspring?
I got a monoposto alloy subbie with a 1.6M on mine. Just a Bip. Had to use a bit of thinking to get it to fit and stretch the cables a tad. Rotated 90°. Bought it from someone on her years n years ago. Interesting getting it home from Wisley layby J10 A3/M25 on my 916. I sat on it to J6.
