Sf V4s, Anyone Had Issues With Throttle Spacers Affecting The Quickshifter?

  1. Since I've mad my MV F3 I've noticed more how crap DQS is, espeically on downshift. Also on many occaisions go up through gears ended up in neutral.

Down shift extremmy clunky and have to be at pretty low rev's. Up shifting too many times ended up in neutral.

Done some googling and seens reports of the throttle spaces causing issues. Any took them out lastnight, found the smaller one had actually split.

Tbh I had them fitted so soon after getting the bike I don't really know whats its like without them, taking her for a blast through some twistites today, hopefully the spacers where to blame.

  2. I’ve not had any issues with them on any of the bikes they’ve been fitted to. Did you install them properly, as once they’re in, I don’t see how they can split?

  3. I have the spacers fitted. QS is fine in all respects.

  4. Looked at the spacers closely, they look like they've been made using a 3D printer with nylon. I'll let the guy know who fitted them for me. One was black and one white. Most the kits I see online are red.

Been out for a ride this morning, have to say, downshift loads better, maybe a conicedance but managed to get 91.5m before the fuel light came on and wasn't exactly riding it gently. I dont think I'll bother getting another set. Downshift with them in was very clunky.

  5. Mine are the red ones. They are stretchy and definitely not 3-D printed.

  6. On the Ducatis the throttle has to be closed in order for the blipper to work properly. Your spacers may have been preventing this.

  7. I’ve ordered a set directly from ducatispacers in the US, there were loads of copies on eBay for approx half the price but after some research these were the 3D printed ones with crap tolerances. The genuine ones are injection moulded.

  8. This is what happens when you buy cheap knock offs. Chuck them in the bin and buy the genuine article, and you won’t have any more problems.

  9. Get yourself a bag of float rubbers (if your into fishing you’ll know what I mean) and use a couple of those to take up the play, they come in various sizes so you will find ones that fit.

  10. I don't think I'll bother replacing them tbh.

  11. As others have said, sounds like you bought some cheap knock-offs. Ducati Spacers in the US are where I bought my last three sets from, for both my present and previous bikes. Never had an issue as they fit perfectly and are not 3d printed. Worth the extra IMHO.

  12. The ducatispacers (red) also ship with a tri screwdriver bit. No issues with mine 10k later.

  15. I ordered my set from Nelly.

  16. So, my spacers turned up from the USA today and I’ve just fitted them.
Decent instructions and a perfect fit around both sections. I forgot to take pictures so my apologies but I’ll make sure I update once I’ve taken it out, which might be a while as we’re moving out next week
