  2. Look how many BMW have and how many they sell? Both IL4 and boxster engine based.

Surely you could use the platform from either supersport or multi as a base

  3. Do fuel stops become an issue on the longer journeys though? My SFV4 seems to get 100 miles max out of a tank. Wish they had put a bigger tank on it.

  4. Not really. I don’t want to ride for longer than 100 miles without a break anyway.

  5. Fuel light at about 95 miles, good for about 130. Longest I have risked is 135.

  6. About 130 miles is max for me but then it depends on the fuel station gaps.

  7. That would be part of the design. Iirc the ST range was at least 10% bigger than 916, maybe more.

  8. 180 miles to reserve is about right imho

  9. That depends on where you ride and how spirited the ride is and on ambient temperatures, rides are to be enjoyed not endured for me now. Gone are the days of South of France in one hit only stopping for fuel every 100 mile.

Mid Wales for me on either my KTM or MV isn’t bad as I’ve good range, but my pal on his V4 Tuono needs to plan the route so he not sweating on a fuel stop. His fuel light appears at 90 mile after spirited riding.

I’ve had 175 before reserve on an old SC28 Firegrate but that was A and M ways, I get around 175 out the KTM round Wales. The worst was a Triumph Speed Triple T3 100 mile to a tank playing fuel light bingo with toll road services.
