  1. 5DE14206-7140-426C-B47B-347CC7EBF7B9.jpeg Hi

Didnt know which section sorry if wrong

Finaly finished my bike park, had to build the gate 1200 as 900 bought gates were too small, and laid the cement on my own, its killed me to be honest but the hard work is done, i can now park alot safer than my drive. Ive also hooked up a spot light motion camera.

Is it ok to park the bike under an open shelter or better to build and insulate a proper shed, I already have two man caves in my garden and I tend to get carried away so would sooner just have a roof.

The base is 3m x 2.5m with a ramp going out the back, I have scope for the roof to stick out back and front so should stay perfectly dry but would the bike likely rust in open air?

    Thanks

  8. I'd say a shelter will be fine if the cement doesn't get wet in the rain. If you build a shed, I don't see the point in insulating it unless you warm it.

  9. Been trying to make is smooth all after noon, the plan is to spin it on a dolly I bought, havent actually tried getting it on the centre stand on the dolly yet, but need to floor as smooth as possible

  10. Thankyou :) much easier

  11. Oh dear, missed your reply, so its a tie 1 - 1 lol

  12. My sheds are better than houses, end up spending a fortune if I start another shed

  13. There is a shed specialist on the forum,he can point you in the right direction;)

  14. It looks like you already have a shed to the left. So I'd shed it then cut through even if it is just wide enough for a door. That way you only have 3 walls to build and the roof.

  15. Deffo a shed - thicker the better - will stay dry all year round with no heating :)

  16. I have been considering that very thing but that wall has the fuse board, 6 sockets, 100mm celotex, osb, plasterboard, plaster and a 30mm thick solid quartz floor which will be a step up, im a bit of a fussy git so would have to run the wires back up from where they are to a different wall which means destrying the celine too, this is plastered, its a bloody shame to disturb it all, I can push the bike into it if i need to but I ride it all weathers so no long term storage, just if I want to work on it, which would be a miracle as I havent a clue how to do any work on it, im a builder not a tinkerer

  17. Sounding like a shed then, the other sheds are toasty all winter with no heating

  18. it's the first picture I came across of double tongue and grove timber - my log cabin Garage is 75mm thick double tongue and groove but you don't need to go so thick :)
