The first thing they should have done was to inform you of your tyre being in such a state the minute they saw it As they didn't I would assume they are guilty of the damage I worked in service reception in a couple of main dealers and I would have rung you straight away if one of the mechanics had found it. They wanted you to sign it before you were aware and took advantage of you being female so that the damage became yours once out of the garage Tossers!!!!!!!
Shame "On yer Triumph" lost the franchise, I always had top service there. Funny how my next bike was a Ducati as it`s the same business ethos from Ducati Aylesbury(On Yer Bike"). Look after your customers and they will come back ! quite bloody simple really !
I don't know if Adie will see the message about On Yer Triumph but she bought a 955 Daytona from them a few years back and had no problems, I bought my Multistrada from Ducati Aylesbury and have had no problems but Pure Triumph are owned by a car chain and treat bikes as disposable items owned by people who know sod all about bikes and can be fobbed off with a load of bollocks.
They don't know her very well if they think they can take advantage  She's like a nest of vipers when she gets pissed off and this is going to end up getting very messy with Pure Triumph wishing she'd stuck with Yamaha.
It doesn't matter what the branding is,this must not go unpunished, simply totally unacceptable,I was thinking of test riding a bike from there, but how could you ever trust them again.Well done for bringing this to our attention, after all the consequences are not worth thinking about if they are left unchecked.Very glad that nothing gave way whilst being ridden, five em hell and please keep us informed. If I was in there shoes I would be replacing that tyre free of charge, and a free upcoming service to try and stop the negative feedback that will result.
I've emailed Bridgestone but their website is a bit crap for contact information and I haven't managed to get a email address or phone number for their technical department though I do have a number logging my email. I've asked them to contact me so I can send them the photo and said that the matter will be going a lot further and I'd appreciate their point of view rather than letting someone try to blame them because they refused to get involved. No word yet from Triumph but I've got much better contact details for them so there's no way they're keeping out of it
This is getting a bit confusing. I've been trying to find someone at a high enough level in Pure Triumph (they've got 2 branches) to be able to set about ruffling a few more feathers and I find this PURE TRIUMPH LIMITED of NN8 1LD in WELLINGBOROUGH NORTHANTS Now I'm just a mechanical engineer and not really up to speed when it comes to how companies are structured and their level of solvency but that looks to me like they're already in the shit before I start kicking them even harder. Anyone got any ideas?
That company is being closed down but not necessarily the one you dealt with - they may be called something different trading as Pure Triumph
<finds original paperwork> When I bought the bike they were Cambria Vehicle Services Ltd, Swindon Motor Park, Dorcan Way, Swindon, Wiltshire SN3 3RA trading as Pure Triumph Birmingham, Pure Triumph Wellingborough & Pure Triumph Woburn. The Birmingham no longer seems to exist.
That just about sums it up. They'd probably say it was 'inadvisable' to ride it far or at speed but basically it was unsafe. Funnily enough Triumph didn't respond to her email sent yesterday but they did respond when she decided to post the picture on their Facebook page  I've suggested that she waits until tomorrow evening and drops a bombshell on Pure Triumphs Facebook page as well. Apparently they've accepted a request from her (I'm too old for Facebook so don't understand it) so she can play games when there'll be a good chance nobody will be around to remove it.
I wasnt told it was unsafe to ride, I was told it needed replacing and "if you're going to ride it round the Isle of Man you've got bigger balls than me". I believe its very unsafe and am unhappy they chose to put it back onto the bike without talking to me once they'd found the problem. They were quick enough to talk to me earlier when discussing the fact that yes I did want the valve replacing as I was fed up of topping up the air in the tyre. Their comment when I picked it up was "we replaced the valve but we think this was the actual problem" and presented me with the photo. It should never have been put back on the bike. full stop.
