Absolutely, if Flitwick Motorcycles still did trumpets I would have bought from them, trouble was the only shortarse touring bike Yamaha do is a Fazer and I already have one of them. the three closest trumpet dealers were all part of the Pure group so apart from going significant distance I didn't really have a choice. I wouldn't even buy a cup of tea from them now.
Older and wiser. But I have to say that getting to my dealer is a hassle. One of the ways I go by bike. The other way involves two trains and a bus. But such is the price of excellence.
Well after over a month we seem to be getting somewhere. Triumph have now sent an email to Pure Triumph saying that they (Triumph) believe the tyre shouldn't have been fitted to the wheel and suggesting that Pure Triumph contact my wife to discuss the matter with her so a resolution can be found. Better late than never I suppose. There's still the matter of a defective battery that Triumph say they'll replace but Pure Triumph neglected to bother contacting them about, a tyre valve fitted incorrectly when they changed it so it was still leaking until this week and a couple of other things that were mentioned before the service but didn't get done. Triumph can't tell the dealer to reimburse my wife for the cost of removing the tyre, being unable to even fit a valve properly and allegedly damaging the tyre when they removed it but they appear to be a bit unhappy about the whole sorry episode so maybe the dealer will do the decent thing.
As soon as I saw the copy of the Visual Health Check (VHC) I suspected who Pure Triumph were part of. They are owned by Cambria Automobiles plc. The biggest bunch of rip off merchants and one of the largest motor groups in the UK. Cambria operates dealerships across England representing the following new vehicle franchises Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Chrysler Jeep, Jaguar, Volvo, Ford, Fiat, Mazda, Honda, Renault, Citroen, Seat, Nissan, Vauxhall and Triumph with a geographical spread from the North West of England through to the Midlands, down to the South East and across as far as Kent in the East and as far as Exeter in the South West. The Cambria name is not used in the businesses which trade under local brand names such as "Grange", "Dees", "Doves", "Invicta", "Pure Triumph" and "Motorparks". My advise is... DONT TOUCH ANY OF THEIR DEALERSHIPS. TAKE THE BASTARDS TO COURT OVER THE TYRE ISSUE!
Missed this first time around! Any update? BTW, welcome Adie ... please be nice to the hard of thinking on here...
