I did my first jump in Emporiabrava with my mates sky diving club - the Red Devils were there as well as the Ruskies Team.
Did my first wingsuit flight in Emporiabrava around 2003 & learnt on returning to UK I needed another 300 to fly suit here under BPA rules (took a few years !)
They are not bothered out there, did my tandem strapped to a lil Spanish dude who was about a foot shorter than me. I had a fleece on, jeans and trainers - no gloves, no helmet, no instruction, and the lil dude didn't speak English. The guys told me on the way up what I needed to do when out of the plane. All my mate told me to do the day before was watch the pilot once everyone was out - he said there's no way your staying on that plane and not jumping. Sure enough, the pilot nose dived from 14,000ft and only pulled up at the last minute, and on one run shaved the grass with his wing tip. Far safer jumping so I did, and it was fab, especially that view!
