(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. Or Nelly?

  2. After my 1/2hr chat with the parts bloke in Rider's (Bristol) last week, I'll go there every time now as it's only 15 mins ride.
I now agree with what Nelly's been saying for ages - use your local dealer.

  3. Got this rather sparse email this morning, 10 days after my order. I was rather firm in my reply about how crap their service is at present :poop: ...and I can't ride the bike for probably another 10 days... Screenshot_20260312-180728.png

  4. Forgot what an arse the 1098 is to work on compared to a 748/9*6!

  5. Nothing, gritters were out in our area last night, so now I think I'm one of only a few hoping for rain in the near future : unamused:

  6. Whoever designed the rear seat unit/undertray assembly design needs a serious kicking.

  7. Apparently it was the same guy that designed the battery tray on the 999 too...;)

  10. i soooo agree - first time (on any of the 848/1098 related bikes) i worked on rear end, i was so convinced that i had a "prototype" that i phoned Neil at Cornerspeed for advice. It really is craaazy to think that this is how they came as standard.

i still believe that this "task" was given to University di Bologna students...

  16. Another 100 odd miles today on the new V2 with a breakfast stop in Battle.
A slight difference in handle bar height and riding position compared to my SL.

  17. I used a multi V4 the other day while my SS was in for a service, the Multi is a bolt upright riding position, a bit odd to start with but got used to it. Cracking bike but £20K?
Got back on my SS, it felt like a 125

  18. Yeah, but as the saying goes it's more fun to ride a small bike fast than a fast bike slow...;)
