Well the blurb on the Machine Mat website says it'll fit under a car, but they must have been using a monster truck to take the measurements. I'm not so sure. It depends on your wheels I suppose. The foot pedal just slides off by the way. The front wheel clamp doesn't.
My mother phoned me today to tell me "I'm in bed with Morrissey" "No you're not" I told her, "you're in bed with MRSA"
Never really sure what to do with these, would like to rate as funny... but it's far from that, if you know what I mean. Maybe needs a Sad&Funny split emoticon, bit like a ying/yang sort of thingy. Anyway, best wishes and thanks for the laugh
Been rescued by a Good Samaritan. Finished my observed run and stopped at the Diner at Kingsclere for a coffee and chat. All fine, got togged up and went our separate ways. About a mile into the run home the rear of the bike gets all squirrely so I pull over, stick the bike on the centre stand and yes, the rear tyre is soft. Spend about 10 minutes trying to find the offending item or a least the hole but could I see it. So I get the sticky string insertion tool out and poked around finally findind a deep gash about 15mm long has a hole all the way through. Part way through prepping for the sticky string and a van pulls up. Bloke gets out and asks if I'm local and starts to unload the back of the van. He pulls a ramp out and says to load the bike on and he'll run me home. Turns out he's Ducati through and through and rides an 848 and a 959. Not a forum member but an interested visitor occasionally. Any way big thanks to the bloke and he wouldn't take a thing for the rescue, not even a 4 pack of Stella I had to hand. Andy
I'm sure a Brazilian rainforest doesn't get as much as we do. Anyways, think I will get a Ducati umbrella.
Had a 1299 for the day. Was actually glad to get back on my 899. I found riding the big 12 was a very serious experience, whereas the 899 is just playful and fun. Don't get me wrong the 1299 is a weapon, but I'm not sure it's a great road bike, the power comes in like being hit up the arse by an 18 wheeler which is great. But not exactly useable.. I found to have fun on it you needed to be going very, very quickly. And full throttle is almost impossible in the lower gears if you actually want to be efficient and not point towards the stars lol! Very much a handful. Which I'm sure some will love it for as I do. I don't think I'd get one for the road though, not unless I had lots of bikes anyway.
Had a pleasant bimble out to Calne this afternoon with Carole probably a bit later than I planned but still a lot going on and a huge selection of bikes, all ages all kinds. The entire Harley Davidson southern contingent must have turned out, never seen so many Harleys in one place before. Lots of bikes on the roads to and from the event, even saw Mr Milyard out on his Dodge Viper powered homer. Mooched for about an hour, grabbed a bacon & sausage bap, listened to the live entertainment and then bimbled back. El Sabios n Newbury tonight, really missing the tapas from our holiday in Spain only a week ago. Run out wth the TVAM RAMs in the morning, Salisbury I think. 3 days in a row out for a run, great fun . Andy
Spent nearly 5 hours cleaning the 2 family Focus's in and out. No idea how it took so long. I blame the kids. Took so long and now so shattered I've started on the Hobgloblin so no evening ride [emoji107] .
