A DDouble bike ride out today the first, 996r a good pace down to coast early and return before muppet got on the road and then a local for the paul smart,,,lots of interesting vehicles out there today to see,and a old friend that i had not seen for twenty seven years pop round for a chat
Went to BMAD on Paignton sea front..loads of bike's of all description, beer, bands and food ..great day out.
Rode to Abergavenny and back. Lots of bikes out and lots there. Saw a 1299SL and V4 Speciale. We had the only MV there though
Went to the land where they speak funny (Yorkshire) today and had a look in JemSpeedShop. They have a very eclectic mix. Mind you, at £18.50 for 2 GT750 burgers and bottles of Coke, they don't have to sell many. Was yummy though. My Hyperdoodah actually made it onto their website. Albeit in the background.
Been for a walk and a pint, came back through the park, beautiful walk by the river and find our townies have been for a day out, beer cans and chip wrappers everywhere, These were left just three yards from the bin, prats. Steve
I decided to get off my arse and try to ride my bike. I’m glad I did because my back pain is minimal now and I did 119 miles around West Yorkshire and Derbyshire. And it was glorious! (Except for seeing the fat lass in the third pic)
Was a bit last minute this morning, suggested by my mate. I wish you had been there. You could have bought the GT750 burgers Tel.
Went a ride on the Multistrada first stop was Jack Hills.Cafe on the A5 car park was full of Harley Davidsons and weekend Hell's Angel's so didn't stop picked up the M40 at Cherwell Valley Services onto the M42 stopped at the Motorcycle Museum couple of hours havntha been there for a while Had some lunch at a pub in Meridan then came home brilliant day out bike running superbly
Were the Hell's Angels there today that were in attendance last week? Satan's Slaves or some such thing they were calling themselves. Some of them looked like Giles and Roger from accounts, in funny clothes.
Following a phone call this morning from a friend of mine, I motivated myself to take the 999R out with him and his GSXR for a tour of the local mountains all afternoon. Les Gets, Chamonix, Megève, Annecy etc. Fantastic day and reminded me that these bikes do actually need to be ridden once in a while!
Did a Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland loop of around 160 miles this morning in stunning spring weather. I did the same, saw the Harley crowds at jack hills and pulled in for breakfast at the super sausage instead. Saw the aftermath of a horrendous accident on the a5 just south of daventry - what looked like around 4-6 bikes, wreckage all over the road and 3 ambulances in attendance, bikers directing traffic and a number of injured being treated...god knows what happened.
Here there and everywhere today, stops in Llandovery , Tenby , st David’s etc, 260 miles over some a roads and lots of B roads, even a friendly biker cop couldn’t resist a bit of a chat about Ducati’s, he took a pic for the Pembrokeshire police twitterfeed, and no he wasn’t offended by the size of the reg plate or by the fact that my baffles are missing from my exhaust lol
