  7. Whilst me and Pete are messing around blowing leaves on to next doors property some of us have a more serious approach to a Saturday.
Hope you have a good day.

  8. There was a big fight in the local pub last night.

I remembered my dad once told me, “if you ever get into a fight in the pub, put a pool ball in your sock."

Worse advice ever - I could hardly walk

  9. I would rather be gathering leaves :)
It’s only a four hour shift I should be ok and thank you :)

  10. Its not so much gathering as sharing with your neighbours and the local council, well in my case anyway!
Now sell that fuel and smash those four hours. :)
That's my motivational advice used up for the day!

  11. Today is my grandad's 95th birthday.

He was always involved with horses and rode national hunt race-horses until one day he was run down by a steamroller.

Luckily for him, he went on to be a successful flat jockey.

  12. I panicked in the tunnels, had to get out, don't like small spaces lol.
The people are very nice, very friendly, getting offers of a lift on a scooter was funny.

  13. Glad you enjoyed it and had a good experience, not everyone feels that way, but tbh, having lived here for 16 years I still love the place. Warts 'n all.

  14. Just been adjusting the latches on the window shutters, a few years ago this room was derelict, the ceiling was lowered to the top of the moulding, this was removed to expose the vaulted ceiling above as it is now, I fitted a new floor, made and replaced all the panelling and moulding to the right of the fireplace and returning to the window due to dry rot and replaced one pair of shutters.
Its nice to go back and see it being used as a snooker room now.

The floor was laid to our own design.

  15. I’d be interested in knowing how you plan to treat those forks? DIY, a professional job or replace?
