Been up my local gym, first time in a gym in over a decade 30 mins on a concept2 rower followed by 30 mins of stretching and abs. Just checked my stats and Concept 2 say I’m great for an old fart. Going to try for 10k in under 1 hour before…..end of Feb….
Good luck. I need to get back, but the thought of all those gym bunnies and muscle Marys fills me with dread
Today we are going to Cannon Hall farm (of various Yorkshire farm/vet programmes fame) with brother in law and his wife, and their 2 year old grandson
Not tempted to go swimming instead bradders nice none load bearing exercise, I used go last thing of an evening hardly anyone in there and certainly no much to see. You’ll soon be up to 1km swims 40 lengths of a 25 metre pool broken down into smaller bite size chunks. Eventually working yourself up to in one go, set yourself an achievable target and build from there. I ignore the gym bunnies and muscle bounds after all they’re only up there for their own needs. It’s not like i’m forced to engage with them in any meaningful way. I’m only up there to keep myself fit and healthy and rowing fits that agenda perfectly.
I'm envisaginging 'The Funky* Chicken'.** * 'Funky' ** 'Chicken' Not sent via my aPhone *** *** A 'phone'
The postman dropped this one through the box this morning, not a lot of money these days but better than a kick in the balls me thinks.
Got up early to get to the gym before the working day starts, only to be greeted by a sign to say they’re opening at 8. Sat in the car for 45 minutes, then had a big session. Now lying in a hospital bed waiting for the consultant to tell my what time my op will be this afternoon. I’m bloody starving, as you’re not allowed to eat on the morning of an op.
Just having denervation injections into my back. I’ve had them a couple of times before, so am hoping that these will be the ones that take.
Local chap is selling his camera gear as he has a bad back so I've acquired a 200 - 500mm telephoto lens which should help with BSB at Thruxton. it is bloody heavy though!
