Went for a mot today but stop halfway and checked the mot certicate again, 28/August and not July it said. Also picked up a new/used Paul Smart indicator from Pro-twins.
easy day compared to yesterday, lots of car reversing though that hasn't helped my neck. Decided to start a pub crawl as you do.
You can renew the MoT up to a month early, and still retain the existing date, basically giving you 13 months
3 days walking in the Drakensberg Mountains. Not a cloud in the sky but hamstrings are killing me. Well they would be after 5 hours of walking every day it’s followed by 2 sets of tennis and 2 or 3 games of table tennis. Sister in law insists on it, she’s mad!
I thought the Savoy Grill was horrible, over priced, stuffy, full of tourists and men in red braces. And whatever you do don’t be tempted by Sexy Fish!
So basically i should've carried on then to the mot station, the weathers good today so a return visit's in order. thanks
Not a huge amount. We live in a pretty built up area but we have a long back garden where the hives are. I’ll warn you now it’s an expensive hobby! A hive is about £150, frames and foundation wax £50, plus a bee suit, smoker, hive tools (£150). A nucleus of bees (a queen and 5 frames of workers) will cost £200-£250, unless you can find a swarm. Then you need an extractor, labels and jars. So if I’m lucky I break even after about 3 years, either that or charge £30 a jar! The other thing is you really need to check the hives every 7-10 days during the spring and summer. And the little buggers don’t always do everything by the book. That said it’s a fun hobby and I love watching the bees go about their business.
Yeah it can be quite stuffy, but I don't really take any notice of anyone else when I'm out tbh. Not tried SF, don't think I'll bother now then!
