  3. Busy(ish) day today, went up to a local gun shop in Tamworth to get a new case for one of my rifles

Then on to Currys, Coventry, to get a new games console, then home, via Aldi for a bit of food shopping

This afternoon was taken up by setting up the new games console, and doing a bit more of the reverse camera fitting on the van

  5. Natural History Museum today for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition with friends, followed by a lunch at Rocca in South Kensington.

If anyone is considering going I'd recommend the short video next to the two winners which explains the judges' thought process in selecting them (which translates as no I don't agree with it but I understand it :) )

  7. Listened to a few skeins of geese fly past overhead. I didn't realise they flew in the dark

  8. I’ve noticed them coming over mine at all hours (3am) recently but they do migrate large distances so I guess they do do night flights. Wonderful to hear them gabbling to each other as they go over though.

  9. From the RSPB

Not only that, but geese are able to use uni-hemispheric sleep when flying! Up in the air, geese flying in v-formations will use this adaptive technique to follow their lead bird while also getting some rest. When it's the lead bird's turn for rest, the bird will rotate positions and another will take its place.

  11. There were so many more. My favourite is probably the falcon with the butterfly in the other set for the composition and timing, but Mrs GG and I agreed that there was something about the ermine in the crevice (titled Between a Rock and a Hard Place) that would always bring a smile to our face so it’s come home for the snug.

  17. This was actually Friday but worthy of a post. Went to the car Museum in Malaga with brother in law and sister in law. I noticed it’s now called the Car and Fashion museum. Went a couple of years ago and we were lucky enough to meet the owner who has now unfortunately died. It’s €10 really well spent and I highly recommend it if you have the chance and you’re in Malaga. Between each car exhibit is an exhibit of a fashion item from the era. Also various memorabilia and really extraordinary motoring items. The whole thing is a visual feast, a celebration of the art of car design and fashion. I fear that now the curator has died it might get broken up. We did feel it wasn’t being looked after as well as in the past. There were finger prints over some of the exhibits and due to the recent heavy rain some ceiling plaster had fallen into one of the convertible’s and not been cleaned up.
    Sacrilege in my book. IMG_9983.jpeg IMG_9980.jpeg IMG_9978.jpeg IMG_9977.jpeg IMG_9976.jpeg IMG_9975.jpeg IMG_9973.jpeg IMG_9972.jpeg IMG_9971.jpeg IMG_9970.jpeg IMG_9969.jpeg IMG_9968.jpeg IMG_9967.jpeg IMG_9966.jpeg
