Being Dutch (cheap) trying to save time and money on fabricating a 1/4 air hose coupling. Garden hose and shrink tubing, didn't work... leaking air... must be the non-screw clamps that I have lying around instead of the screw type ....now I have to invest 1 pound in a real coupler... ;-) Being my own CFO I think the investment is solid. just the wait is killing me.
Went to Moto Italia at the Powys Arms, Lydbury North, Shropshire. Some nice bikes even tho the weather was crap, well it is June.
Assembled Mrs GG's new swing seat, which then entailed dissembling the old one and taking it to the dump. Despite assuring Her Maj that her assistance wasn't required, she insisted on interfering until one bit dropped on her foot and then another bit caught her head. That was then loaded up and taken to the dump, followed by a trip to Tesco's for urgent liquid supplies & a trip to Next to purchase a chair for her snug.
After that lot, I then practiced my basket weaving skills with cable ties and the bird feeders. We are infested with green parakeets and they basically empty all 6 feeders in one day if left to their own devices. After a bit of an experiment with Gaffer tape, I’ve now started covering the direct access to the ports but leaving enough access for the small birds to get inside the cage and then move round to the ports.
That's where my first bike came from. My dad and his brother were going and I gave them something like £35 to get me something, and they came back with a couple of 250 AJS/Matchlesses in bits. I rode around a couple of years on a 500 Triumph and a BSA Barracuda before building one bike from it - first time nicked on the Triumph (banged up for a couple of hours in Chertsey while they verified I hadn't stolen it*); first crash and hospital stay on the BSA; then finished the Ajay build, took my test on it and went legal. *When they released me the bike cop who'd nabbed me wheeled the bike to me, out the front of Chertsey nick. Now they know full well I've got a provisional license and no insurance. I'm about 30 miles or so from home. I ask him how the hell I'm supposed to get home and he says to push it down the road until I'm out of sight of the station. I don't recall if he specifically said to ride it or left that bit unsaid. Anyhow, round the corner I put the key in, kicked it over and rode home. A little bemused.
Just deleted 49 bots so far this morning. On current form it looks like we get hit with between 120 to 150 bots registering on the site a day. Surely these cnuts have something better to do with their lives.
It didn’t even last 6 months, the rats next door have been out and cut our property again today! Police called because they have broken a police order to stop…… police not really interested but remember there is no two tier policing folks.
After all you have been through over this matter I would think they will send someone over to you very soon today after they have seen the court order paperwork, can’t remember if you have already mentioned if you have cameras but worth considering, I have ring and find them very good,
We have 8 cameras and have them on a few doing it. I’m not holding my breathe, the police have continually make excuses, dragged their feet and generally been utterly useless so far. I was all set to go out riding today for some relaxation but I had a massive panic attack instead. I really can’t go on much longer with the way things are tbh.
Mostly handing over bits of personal information to be allowed a work permit for Ireland next week for a Month. Just found out my van has a broken spring which needs doing Friday or I have to travel in my older Vito which is also in for a power steering pack. Just about to pop out to the Monday night bike meeting.
It’s worth a shot. One of your lovely neighbours might even decide to go ‘done roaming’ and put an offer in. Either way your health is important, stress is a killer.
Dublin, Limerick and Cork, but I’m using the Larne route to get onto the island rather than the Dublin route. I can do without the hassle should there be any, may travel back via Rosslare though. I’m taking my bike with me as they’ve generously given me 2 weekends off and I ‘plan’ to grab a cheeky few days at the end to try and ride all of the WAW or at least a large chunk of it. I invariably get these jobs as I’m the only one willing to stay out there for the duration and not insist on coming home for weekends
Been food shopping........got a few bits and came away £81 lighter. Everything is so fucking expensive nowadays. I've just prepped everything for this evenings meal of Hoisin Chicken with wedges and slaw - I love Gousto since I decided to give them a try a few weeks ago. Once the special offer finishes I'm on to Hello Fresh to give them a try Tomorrow I'm getting four new tyres fitted to the car and going to register with a new dentist finally. Oh and my new metal artwork arrived this morning and it looks great and brings more colour to the dining/family area. Now just waiting for the new sofa to arrive in the next couple of weeks then that's everything done for the time being inside. Next stop the back garden and two new patio areas that I'm getting built.
