Went to Gowlers. Before then, found that my KTM battery woes were not just the loose negative lead. The Genius Battery Conditioner that it has been on is also fooked. Been on it all night and still on the 25% light. Swapped chargers and on "fully charged" within minutes. So it was two issues - the fooked charger and the loose negative connection. Fowlers now have Guzzis back in. I hoped they screwed over Guzzi! Apparently they wanted Fowlers to share Bristol between Fowlers and Downend Scooters, so Fowlers told 'em to get lost. Now Guzzi have learnt the error of their ways and dumped Downend Scooter for Fowlers. I would love a V100 but Guzzis are just too heavy for me and my left knee is painful and knocks against the left cylinder. Cafe just get busier and busier. Really nice food in nice surroundings. They haven't got the Enfield Guerilla 450 but the Triumph Speed 400 looks the next one for me. They had a black one with engine bars, screen and now they do the handlebar mirrors as standard. My mate thinks the handlebar mirrors crap but I would prefer to see what is behind me rather than a crystal clear view of my arms. But that is just strange me. With engine bars, screen and rear rack we are talking £5683.50. Probably me next year depending upon me finding out where my compensation money is and why I can't have it. But I will do it anyway, probably next year as I have reached my breaking point of other people telling me what to do. With the Triumph, I will definitely have the rear rack, but a topbox perplexes me. On one hand, it is very useful if I can fit my helmet in on stops as well as gloves and other shit. On the other hand, they look crap.
Headed down to the bike night at the H cafe in Berinsfield / Oxford last night (The one right next to the Infinity store). They were open late due to a Shoei event taking place there. Used to go a fair bit before the short break from riding so good to get back up there again! Absolutely packed with bikes, must have been 100+ plus up there yesterday. Forgot to take any pics whilst there so a quick one from when I got back. If anyone goes up there or fancies it let me know, we can say hello!
Had a run out on the Multistrada down to Birling gap, absolutely crawling with tourists (it must also be on some sort of wish list for Asian visitors as well).
You could try Frasers in Gloucester which isn't too far from Bristol, they're a RE dealer amongst other things. https://www.frasersmotorcycles.co.uk/royal-enfield/new-bikes
