Had a ride up to the Nook at Brampton for brekkie, absolutely heaving with bikes because of the good weather, but by far the most interesting bike there was this thing - It’s based on a K100 BMW , really nice job and it just looked cooler than penguin- piss !
That is nice, but it appears it is not as uncommon as you might think; having owned both a K100 & a K75, Christ only knows what possesses anyone to do this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/32603040...IgkLW1YPmgtsxJdbkaPNxuhQ==|tkp:Bk9SR76nqdqSZg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/13614931...h8vyy3VjSBiDCLVNlVVyH+Rc8J|tkp:Bk9SR8zmgtqSZg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25703531...6zFI097PjvLtysFb6/ctyEAw==|tkp:Bk9SR_7Xl9qSZg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/31715482...m3xVIn6BoKheNUnvgr0Wnyd8Wb|tkp:Bk9SR76nqdqSZg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19757128...koh0vSpOA7QDNme9tTZXytNA==|tkp:Bk9SR76nqdqSZg And there are plenty more.
The news reports are apparently incorrect. Three were riding with the guy that died and were taken in for questioning but were not arrested. Two had passed the area before the accident had happened, and the third was a minute or so behind the accident so didn't see it happen. But allegedly CCTV shows the two pedestrians had come out of a pub and were staggering all over before stepping out in to the road. It seems it was a tragic accident.
Just catching up after Thruxton, sorry to read this Terry. My condolences to his family and his friends. Andy
Been walking the coastal path in North Devon all day. My wife went for a swim and a seal popped up next to her and followed her for a while.
Been polishing my air rifle, Squirrels have virtually stripped the Cob nut tree of it's bounty. Actions have consequences.......
Fired up the red one and pointed it towards wales stopped off at the Old Stores Motorbike Cafe in Mold for a coffee. M56 was a car park in places but the roads off the motorway were fabulous. Lots of empty twisties to thrown the bike into.
I was collared into going for a meal at The Farmers Dog and it was just as I had predicted, a theme park with cold canteen food.
Got word today the bikes arrive in Valencia on the 22nd, it's been ages. Hopefully they show up like they were picked up in Cali.
That didn't work! After all of the noise and everyone getting their share, I think that it was supposed to be £700,000 going to Chase de Veer to look after, for me. I never appreciated that "looking after" meant "keepsies" I have sent an email (not so far replied to) to my sol, who is supposed to be a trustee of the fund - my fund, I incorrectly thought, but it appears not! I will give it to the end of Friday and then book Spain and the Orkney Isles for next year, anyway. Probably Orkney in May and then Spain in June. Although, maybe Spain in April and again in June as I no longer give a flying f. . . .!!!!!!! I just had a look at the new Multistrada V2 on-line. The problem, for me, was it seemed too heavy, but now the (my) 200kg weight limit seems broken by a kilogram! Without fuel, but I'm not fussy! I'll get down to Riders and have a look sometime, but no rush! Fing is, out of all of the current Ducati range, the Multistrada V2 seemed to work for me the best!
