So what have you done today..?

  1. I just tried the two spellings on a few different programs; spell checker doesn't flag either spelling in any application I tried.

  2. You might not realize it and it can be labor intensive to correct, but does add a certain flavor to the post.

  3. Usually it's incorrect (or not set in the 1st place) localisation settings. In which case it'd be localization settings.

Meanwhile I keep having to sign in here and on eBay, so my cookie management is presumably fucked up, which I almost can't be arsed with. On account of this stuff so rarely goes wrong these days I forget how to fix it. I can't remember the last time I had to set locale, for example.

  4. yep, you only have to do the math here.

  5. Almost a Public Enemy fan

  7. My Son uses American English in conversation as well as on social media having 'grown up' influenced by watching content created by Americans on social media.

It really shouldn't be an issue, well it isn't for me but I do try not to nitpick......often.:)

  10. Marketing & media employs some of the finest minds to show you how much better your imperfect life would be if it only had more stuff in it.

So people are never content with their life when they do have more stuff because it doesn't take long to feel no happier.

Often what your looking for is there all along.

  11. Went to town in shorts and no coat. I appeared to be the only person in Cheltenham Town Centre with bare legs. And without a coat, for that matter. My fingers were cold.

    Yellow shorts and socks, incidentally.

Just leaving the centre I saw a couple about 30 in shorts, out for a jog. Or out for a standing at the crossing waiting for the lights to change, anyway. Bit of a comedown.

  12. Fitted a new security light because no one seems to be able to make one that lasts longer than a year.

  15. Installed it. Turns out it is so sensitive it notices every time anybody walks down the street.

  16. Without a doubt! You can catch all sorts of shenanigans with that kit. George Orwell was as much a visionary as Enoch Powell.

  17. OOPs, have I opened myself up to a visit from the thought police?
