Well, I'm currently in the American Midwest in 1816 and television is almost nonexistent here. What of it there is is coloured by the Morse key operator's fist. For instance, Bryan Cranston has what appears to be a giant Polo mint over his right eye.

 

Do you ever get travel sick, by that I mean sick of travel?

Stayed over in a Peak District pub car park last night. My brothers, SiLs and nieces and nephews are driving over from where they live just outside Liverpool to meet up for lunch and a ramble in a couple of hours.

It’s a pity it hasn’t t snowed because that hill in the background looks as if it would be absolutely awesome for sledging down!

Nice place, I used to pass by on-route to Matlock Bath to the Sunday bike meet ups years back.
Shame it didn’t snow although it’s looking probable for Tuesday onwards for the area.

Hand sawn some logs up, I was cold so it warmed me up doing it the old fashioned way. Taxed the little Honda, then decided it was too cold to go out for a ride being as I’d only just got warm from the sawing.

Edit: motorhome broke down on the way back (engine cut out) but with it being so ancient and therefore so simple, I was able to diagnose and fix the problem (air leak on inlet manifold) at the roadside

It’s got an Eberspracher diesel heater, which is an absolute game changer compared to a propane/butane system. I’ve had 27 degrees inside while it was minus 10 outside. The thermostat/control unit is also super accurate and so if I tell it I want 23 degrees, I get 23 degrees. Unlike gas it also costs bugger all to run, there’s no bottle changing faffuckery and I’ve always got diesel.

 

The pink hat the person is wearing in the second picture looks just like a small child.
