  2. Picked up a very nearly new bike(700 miles), not a Ducati though so will stop here. It involved my first ever trip to Isle of Wight to collect, nice to get abroad for the day.

  4. That doesn't work in Speakers' Corner as you need to be logged in to access it. However, there is a bit of a glitch in the forum's software which means that if one of the bedwetters' posts is the last post in a thread, if I click "Reply" the text of their post appears in the "Quote" box, and although that text doesn't appear in the Reply itself when posted, I have found a workaround by simply copying and pasting what they have written.

As Principal Skinner once said in the Simpsons, "I'm a small man in some ways, Bart. A small, petty man", so it pleases me enormously that I can occasionally frustrate their Mean Girl-esque attempts to shun me :D

  6. IMG_1908.jpeg Tracer 9GT+ 700 miles looks like it just arrived brand new. It is improved on the 2022 version , quite honestly an astonishing bike, fully equipped . A very flexible character that allows it to be docile, handles very well, poke its ribs and it goes like stink with a smile. This is the bike it should have been, latest 2025 on GT+ mostly got the horrible auto gearbox. So it’s the end of this line for me.

  8. You haven't lived 'til you've camped in the layby on Military road and *"done the ton" on the only straight.

*On a bike that takes the entire straight to reach 100mph, with crap brakes and you survive the corner.

  9. A chap I know has just bought one (in the same colour too) and he absolutely loves it.

  10. In 2022 I had the terrible dilemma of no longer confidently managing my 1200 Mutley 2012. After many years of Ducati ownership I could not imaging a divorce. Unfortunately the 950 Mutley felt so underwhelming, tried various 1000cc bikes , all were ok, but none of them made me smile or not want to give the keys back after a test ride…..until i tried the Tracer!!!!

  11. Went to London, had a set to with a pikey and his ladyboy “wife” on the way home, decided that’s the last time I ever use public transport ever again.

  12. Congratulations on your new ‘investment’
    Many happy miles and smiles.

  13. Jeez what did I miss!!!! I quoted Zhed! Not sure how that got confused but anyway. As people will know from the R53 thread, I’ve got a thing for them, a weird perversion perhaps so always interested if there is a bit of a project kicking around. Although I did get burned on the last one!!!!

incase anyone asks what an R53 is! Above is my project car that I rebuilt from being left blown up and full of water.

and back in 2011 I had this one, which I absolutely adored but had to sell to buy my first house:

  14. The block feature in play basically.

There is 2011 JCW Cooper S fairly local for sale for £3500, quite tempted.

  15. Went to the gym for the first time since doing my knee in at squash. I thought a nice and gentle bike ride would be just the ticket, however the streets of Paris had different ideas. Navigating the roundabout at the Arc de Triomphe is a complete nightmare. Getting cut all over the place and having to give way when you are on the roundabout utterly stressed me out.
Think I’ll give the gym a miss for a while.

  16. It’s not at all weird. They’re absolutely superb. It’s the funnest car I’ve had and it never fails to make me smile when I drive it. They look just right too. If I choose not to repair mine then I’ll almost certainly be buying another one.

  17. Necked some codeine to take the pain away from a torn meniscus then did a gentle 4 mile walk south down the River Tees from Barnard Castle to Egglestone Abbey
