They were only sidelight/ running light bulbs, and they were not blinding anybody. But they are still technically illegal as I said.
I tried three attempts lighting a bonfire today, but no joy as everything was wet through. A photograph from the other day at East Preston, easy parking on local sideroads with great walking if you like that sort of thing.
Possibly, but he's not the first person to have said it. He could have sold me the more expensive bulbs. Unless he had a shit load of Lucas candles he wanted shot of, of course...
