I was very lucky to find a copy of Performance Bikes from 1991 with the CBR600 road test, the pictures were spot on for ensuring the labels are all placed in the right locations.
I've just been driving round the Italian countryside near Monza looking for somewhere to eat. Found a gorgeous restaurant and the cost wasn't too bad. Now for a couple of beers in the hotel.
Bike had its belt service at MR - in a wee bit of pain after my trip so Wantz took it and delivered it back safely
Went through Sturgis to get to Deadwood - more feckin' Harley shops than there are charity shops in any northern town. Wild Bill Hickok was shot in the back of the head in Deadwood in 1876, and is buried here - mind you, he had previously killed 36 , so he probably had a few enemies.

That sounds like great fun.I last saw one at Redhill Aerodrome,it was painted yellow.Don't see so many of them these days,used to be loads of them in the 50's.Left over from the war I suppose as surplus.
I had a nice bit of therapy this morning by taking the MH out for a short run .I went round one of my favourite loops.I am far happier with roads that I know,but looking forward to venturing a bit further in due course.I even got a wave from a group of girlsThey were obviously very discerning and recognised a great machine and its rider going pastGood thing they didn't see me trying to dismount/fall off when I got back home I have now got a big grin and will watch some of the TT i recorded.
Made the most of the weather and rode the bike the long way to work (2.5 times the distance!). Also thought about all the people that gave there lives for me and my friends and family. On the bike front, the new exhausts have changed the engine character, even without a remap it's running really nice so well happy. Looking forward to getting out of work to go have fun.
Well today we have been to Como, Mennagio, and Tremezzo. Lake Como and all the surrounding areas are stunning! And the weather has been glorious too. Funny thing is, from all the hundreds of two wheeled transport we saw, and if you discount the scoots (large and small) how come 80% of the motorbikes were all BMW's? The rest were japs, then three Guzzis, two Harley's, one Cagiva and only one Ducati (Multi). Not very nationalistic!! I was amazed!
Got back from work and settled down with the wifes paper to read of the 89 year old Scot who parachuted back into Normandy yesterday on the grounds that was how he did it last time he was there. Watching the D Day program now. They really were a very special breed.
