Probably wise, they're lovely bikes but Aprilia still have aftersales issues. I know two blokes with Shivers, one had his in the dealer's for more than two months while they tried to sort out a constantly blowing fork seal, and the other was waiting even longer for bodywork parts to turn up.
Pulled the bike out for a wash, clean and lube Ready for a blast before the pissy rain comes again summer my aRSE
Roasting here. Had to get up early (4 hours sleep, having watched the England match till late) to dig the final bit of the veg garden prior to bean planting. It's done. This is just as well, as I have been sweating rivers. It's 10:45 and you can pretty much forget gardening for the rest of the day - just too hot. Time for a shower and to chill out with a book for a while. House is nicely cool - thick walls.
this must be a massive garden you got glid, are you a self sufficient good life kind of dude. my advise, buy a tractor.
Met a mate early in Banbury, sat outside in the sun and had a coffee fantastic ride back to Oxford on mainly empty roads, that's what owning a motorcycle is all about, now back to family duties for the rest of the day.
It's not massive, but it is sizeable. And my veg garden isn't massive, but it's quite big enough for me. The closest I get to a tractor is a ride-on mower, but rather than some bourgeois affectation, it is in fact essential, because if you had to push a mower over all the grass I have, it would be like painting the Forth Bridge - by the time you got it all done, you'd have to start again. It's almost like that as it is. The garden does produce a lot of fruit and veg. Not self-sufficient, but there is quite a lot of all sorts of varieties of stuff. I won't bore you with the list. I am currently thinking of filling a barrel with cherries to make kirsch. This is always a lot of work, and it isn't really worth it, but there is something quite nice about taking your cherries to the distillery to have them turned into kirsch. I can tell you that you need several thousand cherries to fill a 60 litre barrel, and it takes an awfully long time to pick them, as cherries aren't very big.
here ya. we put the ponies in the back garden (listen to me "ponies" a mechanic fae paisley) to munch on the grass.
Was going out on the Shitebird, but me knees are killing me I'll be glad to see the doc again to get some proper drugs in me rather than the self-prescribed 'shitloads of nurofen'. 'Spose I'll just have to pull on the shorts and head for the pub beer garden...
